“Morocco has always been on my bucketlist and my dream came true when I found Morocco Bucketlist Tours with an itinerary offered at a reasonable pricetag, offering an overview of the best of Morocco and has a lot packed into 10 days. Although, one can spend a month in Morocco and not see all this beautiful country has to offer. What I loved about the tour was the authentic accommodation and lots of free time provided to explore. The riads were a sensory feast to the eyes, as is the rest of Morocco! Linda, our tour hostess, made sure everything went smoothly and was always on hand to provide tips about shopping and where to go to experience the authentic Moroccan way of life. Thanks Linda, for all your wonderful photos and I'm especially grateful for that, when on the 2nd day, my phone decided to stop working...our wonderful driver Mohammed drove with care and took very good care of us. We always felt very safe and could just relax on our journey, observing the beautiful surroundings and diverse landscapes. It's very difficult to list a highlight but I especially loved the trip within southern Morocco as the scenery is truly magnificent - the magnificent Sahara desert to the towering cliffs of Todra Gorge, Dades Gorge to Rose Valley and the majestic Atlas Mountains...it's just breathtaking and I could spend weeks there. Again, a very big thank you to Morocco Bucketlist Tours for a truly memorable time and tour. These memories made will stay with me forever and I hope to join again with extended time in the future as there is still so much I want to see and experience!”
"It had been a bucket-list dream of mine to visit Morocco for a long time. When I found Morocco Bucketlist Tours offering the exact itinerary I wanted, a mixed tour group and at a reasonable price, I jumped at the chance. Although fully booked at the time, Linda and Abdoul managed to accommodate both myself and my husband in the group! The tour exceeded my expectations in that the accommodation was authentic and very comfortable. The riads and ksar accommodation were a sensory feast on the eyes, it was "Arabian nights" for me every night! Our wonderful driver Mourad drove us a full 2,200km with care, and I felt very safe being on the bus in the middle of nowhere. We found Casablanca to be underrated, as it is a beautiful city with fewer tourists, while Chefchaouen (so well worth the trip to the north!) was a blue tinted mountainous delight, and having a full day to explore was more than sufficient. Fes was particularly special as we had our first exposure of staying in a riad and were treated to a traditional dinner at a family riad. Our superb local guide Hakima navigated us through the maze of the old Medina to visit mosques, the old Koran university, the oldest tannery, King's palace and a well-known ceramic and mosaic factory. I particularly loved the southern Moroccan route as it is so beautiful with the desert to Todra Gorge, Dades and Rose Valleys, Atlas Mountains to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou route, and the scenic route of natural beauty and rural Berber areas was breathtaking and fascinating at the same time. In Marrakech, Linda helped me source some magnificent high quality Moroccan lamps. We loved the traditional dish, tangia, which we enjoyed on a rooftop restaurant and were blessed with a magnificent sunset at the same time. What a magical memory! Essaouira was a treat and the medina so picturesque; a lot less chaotic than Marrakech. It is beautiful and I definitely would want to go back for a few more days. The one thing I appreciated most about Morocco Bucket Tours, is their support for local women's co-operatives. We stopped at Rose Valley to see how roses are harvested and processed to produce rose oil products of high quality. At Ait Ben Haddou we went to a rural women's cooperative making traditional woollen Berber carpets just before Essaouira we stopped at a local women’s argan oil cooperative - what a fascinating tour of how argan oil is produced! I prefer to support local rural women and it’s comforting to know that all products purchased are of high quality. I cannot recommend Morocco highly enough. Thank you, Linda and Abdoul from Morocco Bucketlist Tours, for exposing us to what Morocco has to offer. I look forward to using your services and valuable advice again. If your goal is to travel Morocco at your own pace and time without having to accommodate other people in a tour group, then Linda and Abdoul will happily arrange this, as they also offer customised and private tours".
“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us…” This sums up our jam-packed Morocco Bucket List Tour. From the time we arrived at our authentic Moroccan House hotel in cool Casablanca on day one to the last day when we left magical Marrakech, the tour ensured we were immersed in Moroccan culture. Our wonderful knowledgeable guide ensured we were exposed to all the sounds in the souks, the authentic tagine tastes in the well-chosen restaurants and of course the historic and beautiful sights. From Casablanca through the fertile plains to Chefchaouen (the Blue Pearl of Morocco) through the snow-capped Atlas Mountains to the sandy Sahara via friendly Fez our tour bus rolled, expertly navigated by our safe and friendly driver. The ten ladies on the tour were all fantastic, with friendships made for life while singing and dancing to Shakira and meeting monkeys and mules, sitting on horses and riding camel caravans. And of course, bonding over shopping (comparing our finds and haggling abilities!), fashion and photography. From the comfortable Taj’s, to the luxurious Riads and our romantic tented camp in the desert, the accommodation reflected the beautiful Moroccan decor, and was always comfortable. In summary, this tour was everything and more than we expected and was definitely fantastic value for money when one considers all we saw and did! This tour with Morocco Bucketlist Tours is highly recommended for energetic travelers who really want to experience the real Morocco!”
“This tour was one for the book! Linda is an amazing host! We just looked up to our Boss Lady!”
“Morocco... a land of mystery and colour. A land I did not know or even thought to visit. Then we were introduced to Linda Ricketts from Morocco Bucket List Tours. Linda introduced us to Morocco via many photos and we were hooked. From the first day of our arrival in Casablanca, we were filled with colour and a sort of vibracy in the air, predicting something special. There is sò much to see and experience, and the tour of 10 days delivered just that! Linda was always available with advice and information about the cities and areas we travelled through. No two days were the same. From Chefchaouen - the blue city in the beautiful green north to the Sahara desert in the south, the landscape kept changing. We even saw snow while driving through the indigenous Azrou ceder forest. My favourite experiences were Chefchaouen and the Sahara overnight desert trip. Imagine, mè on a camel! The desert has so much beauty which touched my heart. The Moroccan architecture is simply stunning, of which we could not get enough. From palaces, medinas, street markets, the riads where we stayed - all were wonderful. Colourful, patterned, beautiful Mosaic everywhere. Linda, thank you a million times for this wonderful experience. For me, it was a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. We made good friends and hope that we will stay in contact.”
"Morocco...
I think back on Morocco with dreamy eyes: Days after returning home, my head was- still buzzing,
l just couldn't let go. I walked through the house aimlessly. "Why Morocco?", "How was it there"...they ask sceptically.
My answer without hesitation ..."Magic, pure magic"
Let's start with Casablanca where we walked the city until our feet hurt to end up at a hammam we were desperately looking for.
It wasn't an authentic one but a beautiful experience nonetheless. Chefchaouen took my breath away with the colour of the heavens reflecting on the walls. The endless small shops, bargaining and photo opportunities. I can go on through every city/town but I am afraid I will write forever.
My highlights? Yes, there are a few...Visiting a hammam, drinking avocado juice!
Stopping next to the road for locally barbecued kebabs, shopping and walking through the souks,
visiting and buying carpets from a local weaver, sleeping in a beautiful riad in Fes,
eating lunch at a local family with honest and pure food prepared by the farmer's wife in their home,
walking through apple orchards in bloom with the whitest blossoms. Last but not least, riding on a camel through an orange desert, dressed in clothes we bought locally and at night dancing to the rhythm of music made by the locals. I can go on…
I wanted to not have the burden of organising this tour myself, like I normally do, and I got just that - and more.
We had a vehicle perfectly fitted for our group of ladies, kept clean and tidy by our amazing driver Muhammed, who helped us wherever he could with a lovely smile which said - don't worry l've got this. We had our boss lady Linda, who were so many things. She quickly made me realise there is no other option but to pack away my photo shyness. How thankful I am for that. She took beautiful photos of not only us but so many things around us. Everything that could possibly catch that moment and beauty. Every day we received updated information via WhatsApp messages, informing us what to expect for the day. Linda helped us in so many ways - bargaining, ordering food, restaurants, finding our way through the souks. Thank you, Linda lady, for everything else I didn't mention.
I enjoyed that I could sit back in the vehicle and watch Morocco drive by.
Listen and participate in the small talk and chatter in the vehicle. Share a lot of good laughs.
Stopping when we had a need, whether it was a restroom, view, a beautiful picture, or to buy some
oranges next to the road, was never an issue. I, for once, could just sit back, be quiet (or not)
and drink in the smells and experience the magic of a culture and people who will stay with me
for as long as I am able to call them to mind. Thank you, Morocco Bucketlist Tours for making my holiday pure magic!"
““This journey was a dream come true. Brian and I, Margolite, had the privilege to visit Morocco in September for 3 weeks. I did my usual intense research to see where and what we wanted to see and experience to make it a holiday of a lifetime. I reached a point where I knew what I wanted and felt I needed a person on the ground to move forward. I found Linda from Morocco Bucketlist Tours on Facebook and reached out to her. She seamlessly and with patience took the planning reigns over with her Moroccan partner Abdoul, and created an exciting itinerary from my plan and ideas. We were joined by friends, and the four of us had the most incredible private tour. Three weeks is not the norm as most tours are shorter, but what three weeks it has been! Working with me, Linda and Abdul chose accommodation within our budget, and we were good to go. The Moroccan people were hospitable, extremely kind, and could not do enough for us. This country is so diverse, and each day is a feast for one’s senses. We were blown away by the beauty at every level and felt 3 weeks was the perfect time to feel the culture and the diverse beauty. I learned so much about the people from our guides, and we felt overwhelmed by Moroccan hospitality. One of the things I am grateful about is that I learned so much about Jewish history I never knew. I felt an overwhelming feeling of hope while in Morocco for our turmoiled world we live in. They authentically live a life where people of all religions, races, and nationalities can respect each other and live in harmony with love. I would like to mention the highlights of the tour but cannot as every second of the trip was a highlight. I could not take the smile off my face, and what we experienced was a once in a life time experience and opportunity. We have immense gratitude to the Moroccan people and Linda and Abdoul for showcasing Morrocco to our group. The attentiveness from Linda and Abdoul service was 1st class, and I recommend them to anyone who wants to travel in Morrocco. We felt secure in every way as they were a phone call away. They were attentive beyond all expectations. Thanking you from Fatima and Ebrahim, the names our driver gave us when we started our journey, which were our names throughout our trip”.
“Wow, Linda, what a wonderful, mind-boggling unexpectedly colourful, well-preserved olden day countryside tour to Morocco. From day one, we drank in the beauty, the buzzling vibe and detailed craftmanship of each medinas charm. Those souks kept me on my toes, not to mention the haggling of prices for various goods!! I'm unable to name "a best experience". From the surprisingly greener landscapes in northern Morocco to the more arid, red, dry south with its huge orange sand dunes, camel rides in the great Sahara desert and a quaint seaside village close to the ocean. A most unforgettable experience that no money ever can buy. Thank you for your "always being available" guidance and enthusiasm”.
“My trip to Morrocco exceeded all my expectations! It is a very diverse country and the food, history, culture, people and natural beauty each are a unique experience on its own! Compliments to Linda on pre-organization and keeping us up to date on " what to do when ". She navigated us smoothly through the scary paperwork such as applying for a visa via the courier route. It is impossible to choose a highlight, as on such a trip every experience is new and part of learning to know the country. We enjoyed our “free” time and that additional 1st day in Casablanca is highly recommended to " get the feeling of Morrocco" and to buy some Moroccan clothes there. We loved visiting a local hammam! A sure highlight was the Moroccan street food which was really good and a wonderful experience. Most of the riads where we stayed were lovely and I was very impressed that they all had hairdryers! I enjoyed our tour thoroughly and would gladly recommend other travellers to use Morocco Bucketlist Tours when planning to visit marvellous Morrocco!!”
“The words “Morocco Bucketlist Tours” do not do justice or conjure up the magical carpet ride of adventures that we would be experiencing whilst traveling on the recommendations and arrangements of Linda and Abdoul. An absolute serendipitous find! We spent 3 weeks on a private tour through Morocco, starting from Casablanca onto Tangier, visiting endless treasures of the land both wide and far. Little did we even begin to realise, at the onset of our trip, how truly gobsmacked, wonderfully surprised and enchanted we would be as we progressed through this Moroccan smorgasbord on offer. It was with a feeling of sadness that it came to an end and we had to return to South Africa. The Moroccan people could not have been more welcoming. Linda and Abdoul have a most supportive network operating within their team - offering backups, guidance, sharing detail of explorations, offering advice, information and sharing about the everyday Moroccan life. Any hiccup or glitch was a message away and was resolved without much ado or fuss. We lived exciting experiences depicting the true Moroccan feel, flavour and flair that is so apparent wherever we found ourselves. There is so much more to delight in, alas, time ran out, but we did get an absolute taste and feel of this colourful land. The trip has left us with a smile, fabulous memories, warm respect and love whenever something is said, thought of, or mentioned about Morocco. Enormous gratitude to all.”
“Once again thank you Linda and Morocco Bucketlist Tours for a wonderful exploration of Morocco during our blitz trip. Your love for the country and its people is palpable in our conversations. Your organization was spot on and your flexibility in rearranging things to do at the drop of a hat was much appreciated.
I've recommended you as tour organizer to my friends as we are all getting to the age when traveling alone has become risky. I'd like to take a more leisurely trip into Morocco next time and spend quality time exploring. Less bussing hours, an extra day in places with the most to offer. Having seen so much in one trip I can now decide where I'd like to spend more time and get to the heart of the country and it's
amazing people.
Thank you for your patience and superb organization, Linda, I have much admiration for you”.
““Our trip with Morocco Bucketlist Tours was amazing.
Our riads were mostly stunning, decorated with beautiful Moroccan tiles and very welcoming.
The lunch in the rural village on the apple farm was a highlight of my tour.
The camel ride and hammam were exceptional for me. I would have liked to spend more
time in some of the areas and while the coach trips were long, I got to see a variety of locations, my favourites being the desert, the gorge and the family at the mansion in Fes, especially Momma!
The sites and destinations we visited were amazing!
I’m so glad I did it now. Notwithstanding that the plane trips were exhausting;
how many women my age (82) can say they have travelled around the world in 12 days. Thank you,
Linda, for taking such good care of an old lady.”

“It’s the first day of Ramadan in Morocco and my departure flight day too, my suitcases came to about 10kg overweight, and my excess luggage penalty fee came to quite an amount. But each item I purchased were carefully selected and haggled for. A price simply cannot be put on the memories I made with each purchase. I will always be reminded of the friend(s), the story and the laughter behind every souvenir.
Despite of feeling under the weather and drained I managed to keep up with the group,
not wanting to miss out on what the rest of our tour in Morocco had to offer. Included in our 10 days tour to Morocco we have managed to explore a bit of Casablanca, witnessed the grandeur of the Hassan II Mosque, be mesmerised and in awe till late at night with the bluest city in the world, Chefchaouen, where we must have taken a thousand photos dressed in our special outfits, carefully selected to contrast against all the blue. We have walked the narrowest and ancient alleys of the oldest medina in the world, Fes al Bali, and stood in wonder watching the dye pit workers tanning leather while standing up to their knees in coloured dye. Our riad in Fes was a wonderland of small, colourful Moroccan zelige tiles. Our sunset desert camel safari was surely the highlight it promised to be, and yes, we were lucky to get the real sunset while running like children up and down the dunes, posing this way and that… as all our group’s superb photos will live to tell the tale! Our luxury desert camp was the ultimate bonus of an extraordinary desert adventure!
After our desert adventure, we made a stop at the magnificent orange cliffs of Todra Gorge.
We captured photos in the middle of a sandstorm in Dades Gorge and another at the highest point of Tizi n'Tichka, a mountain pass in Morocco linking the south-east of Marrakesh to the city of Ouarzazate through the High Atlas mountains. We spotted snow on the Atlas mountains on a few occasions during our trip and here, as in Little Switzerland, it was freezing cold! We visited the Valley of Roses and an Argan oil women’s co-operative, sure highlights for the ladies too! We visited Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a mud-brick fortress, where a long list of famous movies like Gladiator, Games of Thrones and one of my personal favourites, Queen of the Desert were filmed! Marrakesh is definitely my favourite place in Morocco. This city is a buzz!!! The Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main square in the Medina is located right outside the entrance to the Marrakech souk. The people and its vibe are indescribable. With its street food and live entertainment, to its estimated 3,000 souk stalls selling anything from lanterns to spices, this square is simply magical. We haggled and made killer deals late into the night. The fruit juice and smoothie stalls were a personal favourite, all lined up with an endless variety of fresh fruit and spices you could have pressed into a refreshing beverage. There is so much to say about Morocco, but for now this will have to do. But for the next hour or so I’m choosing to sit in front of my hotel window, and to watch Marocco wake to a new day. I’m definitely going to need a few days to reflect on this beautiful, whirlwind of an experience”. What a country, what a journey… I cannot thank Linda and Abdoul of Morocco Bucketlist Tours enough to make my dream come true and turn it into this amazing and magical experience!

“Thank you all so much for arranging this tour for us at short notice and with such care and expertise. We are sad our time has come to an end but we were very well taken care of and enjoyed all the beauty and hospitality Morocco has to offer. Our kids and us created some wonderful memories to last a lifetime! We will definitely be recommending your tours and hope to be visiting Morocco again soon, inshallah. Brother Rasheed, Mohammad and Mustapha have been amazing and a special thanks to brother Mustapha, as he is truly the best of the best. Thanks again, we are truly blessed!”
“Morocco Bucketlist Tours provided an unforgettable journey from start to finish. The trip was meticulously planned, and we were expertly guided through the stunning country by prompt, amicable, well-informed, and adaptable tour guides. We relished the local cuisine, experienced the rich history and culture, and lodged in beautiful and refined riads, each with its unique charm. We fully immersed ourselves in the culture, and found the locals to be exceedingly hospitable, making us feel secure wherever we ventured. The itinerary was thoughtfully arranged, allowing us to explore diverse and uncommon destinations. Undoubtedly, the Sahara desert was the highlight of the tour, and we relished every moment spent there. Our stay in beautiful and glamorous tents was a unique and charming experience that added an extra layer of enchantment to our journey".
Morocco casts a spell in different phases. The 1st phrase is obvious: it is in the colors, the smells, the landscapes, the people. This is the phase that attracts tourists and creates in your mind's eye the perfect image of what this mysterious place may hold. It is also this phase that draws you in and keeps you there for how long your journey may be. There is a second phase to the spell of Morocco. This is the phase that you bring back home with you. It is also the phase that you leave behind as you depart Morocco. You experience this phase as you are trying to explain to your family and your friends what it is you saw, and tasted and experienced. It is also this phase which you reflect on as you go through your photos and curate them and decide which ones you will share. These are the photos you may place on social media, as a desktop or background image, or a profile picture. Phases 1 and 2 are the obvious ones. But there is a 3rd phase. This one flows much deeper. You don't realize that the spell has been cast weeks ago, even months before, when you initially set out planning your journey to Morocco. This is the phase that hits you hard a couple of weeks after your return. It is this phase that lingers in your soul. It is this phase that will stay with you for the rest of your life in a form of nostalgia, yearning, fond recollections, and sometimes a sad melancholy, because you know you've experienced Morocco once, definitely not enough, definitely not to its complete depth. You realise you will never really be on the inside, but will always look on from the outside. It is this phase that leaves its imprint on you of fond memories and realizing that you have changed. You are grateful for having received this opportunity to visit Morocco. You are grateful for the opportunity to experience the tastes, the smells, the people, and the landscapes. And maybe you were so lucky to experience all of this with a group of travelers who had the same initial curiosity about Morocco. And maybe you are very lucky to have gotten along very well with this fellow group of travelers. I was one of those lucky people who got to experience Morocco with a group of seekers. We were all women brought together, perhaps by chance, certainly by planning, under the expert guidance of Morocco Bucketlist Tours. Maybe we thought this would be the usual tourist activity, maybe we each had our own intentions that caused us to commit to the plan. One thing I know for certain, if it wasn't for Morocco Bucket List Tours, this specific journey would not have been possible. Linda's guidance and love for Morocco inspired us. Our local guide, Lakhsen, his sense of humor, his patience and his kindness were highly valued. Our driver, Mourad, took us across multiple landscapes, he liked to sing along with us, and he put the music very loud and allowed us to bounce and move with enthusiasm and abandon. I'm not quite sure whether I'm still in the 2nd phase, or the 3rd phase, and maybe there are many more phases to come. However, I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity and the efforts put in by Linda and Abdoul. May we all realise how lucky we were to visit Morocco, and I hereby encourage those who ponder the same. Go. Go visit Morocco.

“How does one describe Morocco? Well let’s give it a go… Morocco through Linda's eyes become priceless....and with a driver like Mohammed, no words can describe how much we enjoyed it. I love the desert and decided to ask a few friends to join me and... and two agreed. I started to read about and talked to Linda. She is the most wonderful person to travel with to Morocco. Everything worked out perfectly and she organised us the best driver - always there, never irritated or in a rush, stopped when we wanted to see something and looked after our belongings when we walked off....and we did! All the accommodation was 100 % neat, clean and when we asked for something it was brought to us. What was the best? I really don’t know what to say...the land...the people... the FOOD!! I had a wish-list of 20 things to eat in Morocco, and Linda made sure I could taste all of it. If she could not find it, she asked. But ate it I did! We were fortunate and spoilt to only be a small group of four. We therefore could ask for and experience additional activities. Linda always asked if there was something more we would like to see, explore or experience...even when I said “a local taxi ride please” she organized one for the five of us. What an experience to be able to ride in a real local shared taxi (the taxi driver equally enjoyed our small ladies’ group!) from the Mellah to the famous Koutoubia Mosque! A sure highlight!! Thank you again Morocco and Morocco Bucketlist Tours, we will meet again and Linda, you will always be in my heart. "
“Morocco has always been on my bucket list and 2024 was the year for it to finally happen… Linda helped me a lot with general questions and queries, as well as applying on my behalf for my visa at the Moroccan Embassy, something I appreciated very much. I always experienced her as a very casual yet accommodating person and hostess.
I really enjoyed each and every place we visited. The organisation was good if one can take into consideration that a group of people on tour will mostly have different ideas on where they want to eat, what they would like to explore and experience. Ten days is short, but I think we did an amazing number of things, from north to south, east to west. I enjoyed our bus rides with Mourad as a very experienced, safe and courteous driver and always had a sense of safety with him at the wheel.
My highlight of my Morocco tour was definitely to ride a camel in the middle of the desert while the rain was pouring down! A sure tale to tell… getting soaked in the Sahara? My 2nd highlight can only be the most beautiful and bewitching Chefchaouen, an icon in blue… I would have liked to visit Tangier and Essaouira as I love the sea. Other highlights worth mentioning were the local tour in Fes – it was fabulous to experience such a variety of artisan work, souks and alleys, traditional wares in one day. I also in particularly loved the local family dinner in Fes, where we could dress up in glorious kaftans and djellabahs and parade for photos. The stunning, stately interior of the 6th generation family house can only be seen to believe. I loved our unexpected visit to the humble nomad dwellings, where we were treated by the man of the family to mint tea and nomadic music, a heartfelt visit indeed. Our lunch on a family apple farm was fantastic – a real home-cooked meal eaten in the apple orchards! I also loved our accommodations, each had its own charm, the riads being beautiful and opulent with its colourful tiles.
Marrakesh was exciting... the souks bewitching and everything that I love. And…after having started to search for pom poms on day one of our tour, I finally found what I was looking for in the red city of Marrakech. Those pom poms now decorate the most beautiful small bags and key holders!
I would definitely want to visit Morocco again, it’s just such a beautiful place!".
“I went to Morocco in September. It was an amazing experience with a well-planned itinerary and excellent accommodation throughout the tour. You could clearly see the hostess Linda's love and enthusiasm for Morocco! Chefchaouen, Fes, Marrakech, the desert...all of it were highlights! I definitely recommend this Morocco tour, with the suggestion to add a 2nd night to the Sahara desert experience. Distances are far and travelling takes up a lot of time, so two nights would give you a much more immersive desert experience. The driver and guides can possibly use the microphone in the bus more, for ongoing info and commentary while travelling through the interesting cities, villages and beautiful landscape, and to share their knowledge and experience with the group members. Morocco should be on everyone's bucket list, and I will surely be going back again!".
