Itinerary
Day one (30 Oct 2019) Marrakech to Zagora: (Depart to Zagora via the high Atlas Mountains Tizi n’Tichka, lunch and tour of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO world heritage site), pass the palm groves of Draa Valley and fortified Ksours, arrival Zagora for dinner with traditional Berber music, singing and dancing, overnight traditional Berber guest house)
Day Two (31 Oct 2019) Zagora to M’Hamid el Ghizlane: (Guided walk through Draa valley palm oasis, traditional Berber lunch with mint tea demonstration, arrival at M’Hamid el Ghizlane for desert sunset, Moroccan dinner, overnight hotel) .
Day Three (1 Nov 2019) M’Hamid el Ghizlane : (Guided camel ride, exploring Oasis of M’Hamid, official opening of Taragalte festival, follow festival artistic programme, overnight hotel M’Hamid).
Days Four and Five (2 and 3 Nov 2019) M’Hamid el Ghilane : (Two full days as determined by the festival artistic programme, festival closing ceremony day 3, overnight hotel M’Hamid).
Day Six (4 Nov 2019) M’Hamid el Ghilane to Erg Chigaga : Chigaga (Depart to Erg Chigaga via 4x4, guided camel riding/hiking tour, evening entertainment of ethnic traditional North-Africa Gnawa music and dancing, dinner and overnight nomad Berber tent).
Day Seven (5 Nov 2019) Erg Chigaga to Marrakech : (After sunset climb of Erg Chigaga, return to Marrakech via Foum Zguide and Tazenakht, visit local Berber souk, cross the Tizi n’Tichka high Atlas Mountain pass, late arrival back in Marrakech, drop off at your riad, farewell dinner in Jemaa el Fna.
